Charles Bowles, M.D.
Dr. Bowles received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1978 and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1982. He completed his radiology residency at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (1982-1986), which was followed by fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at Stanford University Hospital in 1986-87.
Dr Bowles joined as an associate with Boulder Radiologist, Inc. in 1987. He has served as Chief of Radiology Section for many years at Boulder Community Hospital. Dr. Bowles is board certified in diagnostic, vascular and interventional radiology, and is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, the Colorado Radiological Society, the Colorado Medical Society and the Boulder Medical Society. He is also on the board of directors of Boulder Valley IPA.
Particular interests include treatment of varicose veins (RF, laser), vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty for compression fractures, uterine fibroid embolization, and percutaneous image-guided ablation of tumors. He works at the Medical Imaging Center as well as at Boulder Community Hospital, Community Medical Center, and Foothills Hospital.
