Robert E. Helgans, M.D.
Dr. Helgans is a Jersey native now residing in Boulder. He earned his undergraduate degrees in architecture and systems engineering at University of Pennsylvania.
Following a brief hiatus, he attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He and his wife, Elizabeth, then moved to Denver to complete his diagnostic radiology residency at University of Colorado Health Science Center.
He stayed on at UCHSC to complete a body imaging fellowship. The fellowship emphasized oncologic and transplant imaging, with an emphasis on liver MRI and CT-guided procedures.
Dr. Helgans is an American College of Radiology certified radiologist now practicing general Diagnostic Imaging with Boulder Radiologists Inc, a physicians group working to provide the highest quality radiologist services available anywhere. He works at the Medical Imaging Center as well as at Boulder Community Hospital, Community Medical Center, and Foothills Hospital.
